Hours: 30-40 per week minimum. Exempt Nonexempt
Hours Assigned:Flexible scheduling from 5am to 6pm based on client schedule. Minimum of ½ hour for lunch. Normal work schedule 7:30-5 M-Th, 7:30-Noon Fri
Wages: $18-21 / hour starting
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot problems with air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems and related equipment.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. General Objectives:
Initial contact with customer
Investigate customer’s needs, plan required repair, service equipment as needed
Implement action as required
2. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
A strong mechanical aptitudeFamiliarity with using a PCLayout of equipment and accessoriesFabrication skillsGeneral knowledge of instrumentation and controlsUse test devices and tools to adjust, calibrate and repair equipmentAbility to follow specific manufacturer’s guidelines for repairsProvide on-site repair, installation and maintenance of compressed air and vacuum equipmentEnsure that service commitments are met within standard response timeUnderstand principles of electricityRead electrical schematic diagramsMust be able to lift and carry 75 lbs for a minimum of 10 feetMust be able to lift 100 lbs for 10 secondsMust be able to work in extreme weather conditionsMust have a valid drivers license and good driving record
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is often performed at customer’s site. Generally, work area is under cover but at times it is outdoors and exposed to the elements. Extreme heat and cold can be expected. Extreme noise and hazards such as high-pressure air, steam boilers, and electrical service equipment are regularly encountered at work sites
